I am female, 31 years old, 5'10" tall, and about 330lbs. A co-worker of mine is "training" me on Crossfit, but I am not sure that it is exactly safe for someone of my weight. The first day out, he had me running up and down a hall, and then up four flights of stairs, and I could not complete it. I do not have days in between to rest, as he has me working out everyday, and by the third day, I could barely move (i.e. could hardly walk, get into bed, etc.) and he said this was a good thing. I am afraid if I keep doing this workout that I will suffer some serious medical problems. Bottom line, is Crossfit a safe exercise for people who are considered morbidly obese like myself?
I had my prostate examined today and the Urologist feels no prostatitis. My urine is clean, but they did send it out for a culture. I have been having chills without fever for weeks and some tingling in my feet. I had a comprehensive blood exam and the only test that was a little low was the lymphocytes at 800. It seems I could have an infection somewhere, or the medications I have taken in the last 4 weeks, off and on, Bactrim, Dexilant, Antivan, Advil, Tylenol, a muscle relaxer, and a lot of supplements. My lymphocytes have always been on the low end, but never below the normal. How does anxiety play a part in all this?
I had sex 17 days ago. 2 months ago I did an egg donation and the hormones really took a toll on my body and my birth control wasn't helping. 3 days ago I stopped taking my birth control all together to get my period started (1 week before the sugar pill week). Do I need to worry about pregnancy even though the last time I had sex was 17 days ago? All the tests are negative.
my girlfriend had a really bad UTI for about 3 weeks. Also, she has been bloated for 2 weeks with back pain. Her UTI was diagnosed by a medical assistant from her urine sample. However, the burning has gone away but bloating and discomfort have not.
I had a HIV Rapid Test at the Emergency Room 20 days after unprotected sex and a HIV anitbody test 8 weeks and a day (57 days) and they both came back negative. What are my chances of being truly HIV negative?
I've had diarrhea most of the afternoon and night with app. 37.6 fever. I think I went to the bathroom over 20 times. Today I feel better, the fever dropped to 36.8 and sometimes 37 and I went to the bathroom 2 times only. I went to the doctor (I'm in Uganda on mission) they did a blood test and stool analysis and told me its a bacterial infection (they didn't assert which bacteria as the test is generic) they prescribed Levoday 500mg 1 tablet per day for 5 days. I avoid taking antibiotics if not absolutely necessary so I wanted to check whether I need to take them, or should I wait a while to see if things are going to be resolved without antibiotics.
I am on birth control (tricyclen) and am currently taking Augmentin for UTI. I began having some spotting mid cycle then my normal period while on the placebo week. I finish the Augmentin tomorrow and begin my new pill pack on Sunday. My doctor told me I wouldn't need a backup method while on Augmentin, I would only need one if I experienced nausea or diarrhea, which I have not.
My husband and I had sex this morning, no condoms. My period has ended and I begin my new pill pack on Sunday. What are the odds that my pill could have been affected by the Augmentin? Is it safe to say that a backup method wasn't needed? Will I be fully protected again once I start my new pill pack? Information on this subject seems to be so varied from person to person it's hard to understand.
